This triptych was the second completed piece that followed the Un-Scheduled Martyrdom of Juan Valdez. Interestingly, this piece was the first that prefigured the Poseidon series. Amazingly its incipient stage developed without as much conscious direction as I had expected. As the internal rhythms began to take shape, the theme of judgment and reproach also emerged.
Though the emerging theme took on a dark undertone, this triptych was the first to crystalize my enthusiasm for the entire project. Ultimately, the eight triptychs became one of the more meaningful of my creative endeavors.
