This piece was the third completed triptych. I originally thought that there should only be three triptychs in the mini-series. However, after the Director of Spring Studio visited my art studio and made several helpful recommendations, I expanded my output. From this evaluation, I added an additional triptych, a series of small portraits, and three horizontal relief-like drawings that were an homage to Puvis de Chavannes.
Earlier in developing the mini-series, the triptych When Sleep is Elusive, was part of this series. But the Sleep theme was so dominant, it was necessarily excluded from The Children of Poseidon cycle.
